Bio: Hi! I mainly write about anime, but I sometimes write rambling essays on other topics that interest me. In real life, I'm a graduate student who tinkers aimlessly in a geochemistry lab and reads dense scientific papers that have no relevance in an everyday life.

  1. Thanks for following my blog! I’m glad you’re on the Shouwa hype train with me, but it’s still pretty empty. Oh well, more food for us, I guess. We seem to see eye-to-eye on a lot of things, like how you’ve noticed how Shirayuki’s political awareness and knowledge of how important Zen is as prince makes it hard for her to openly show affection. I wonder what Obi’s true feelings to Shirayuki are… hopefully this is revealed soon.

    • Thanks for dropping by! And yes, the Shouwa hype train has been an amazing ride so far. To be honest, I’d thought that Shirayuki’s reticence was more due to her personality, less so of her social and political awareness. I didn’t really think about it that way, given how open and forward Zen has been about his feelings. And I like that Obi seems so much more confused about his feelings in contrast; that coupled with his loyalty to Zen certainly adds a layer of complexity.

By the way, love your blog’s layout aesthetic! Definitely stands out among the blogs I’ve perused on WordPress so far 🙂
